The Essential

Grey, for a reason.

Cheap black dress forms are covered in a shiny synthetic that throws light back at whatever you drape over it. Whites go grey, pastels shift, and you end up judging colour against a surface that's lying to you. The Essential uses a tough outer fabric in a neutral grey that stays out of the way — what you see on the form is the fabric's true colour.

Underneath, a double-density cushioning gives reliable support for pinning. The minimal cushioning in typical low-cost forms struggles to hold a pin at all; this one lets you work at an angle and trust it to stay.

The false economy

Why not a black form?
